NeoKobePizza.com is a site about the harmonious marriage of soup and pizza known as Neo Kobe pizza.
Nobody is absolutely sure where the idea of dipping or soaking pizza in soup came from. Some say it was a Japanese student who discovered it by accident, and some say it came from the imagination of a game developer, but we do know that the name came from the imaginary place called Neo Kobe City in the Snatcher video game produced by Konami.
This site isn’t (currently) owned by Konami, but we give them credit for the name of this style of pizza.
Though the Snatcher game came out in the late 1980’s, Neo Kobe pizza is a food trend that came, went, and returned. I hope that you will try it because it is very tasty. It started out being pizza in miso soup, but has evolved to include many kinds of pizza in many kinds of soup.
